It was 1975. Muhammad Ali beat Joe Frasier, Mount Everest saw it’s first female reach the summit, Wheel of Fortune was the coolest new show on TV, and North American River Runners opened our doors for business. Since day one, our mission has been “to excite, educate and entertain in a fun and professional environment for our guests and staff”. As mission statements go, we think it’s a pretty good one, and we pride ourselves on having the best staff in the industry to help make that mission succeed.
From the humble beginnings of a one van and two raft operation, to the over 150 employees and hundreds of thousands of friends we’ve met along the way, the kinship with the rivers remains the same. The rivers taught us passion. The rivers taught us hard work. The rivers taught us that people thrive on challenging themselves. We attempt to pass those lessons on to our guests every day in the hopes that they’ll feel the same passion for the river, for nature, and for being alive, that we do. That passion drives us to continually deliver uncompromising quality on every trip, to every guest, every day. How can we not? For us, it’s not a job, it’s a lifestyle.
